| Description: | SCRMC is seeking a casual Occupational Therapist that would also be able to temporarily work full-time from April - June to cover a leave of absence.
The OTR is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. The OTR provides services in compliance with professional ethics and standards while maintaining a positive level of interaction with patients and customers. The OTR is responsible for assisting with in-servicing staff and community education. |
| Duties: | 1. Upon medical referral, Therapist will evaluate and provide treatments, including use of physical agent modalities, to child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as appropriate.
2. Maintains appropriate documentation of occupational therapy treatment, progress, and recommendations.
3. Assists department director with program development.
4. Evaluates Occupational Therapy Assistant�s clinical practices.
5. Participates in appropriate meetings.
6. Assists with writing of departmental forms.
7. Provides inservice education to medical, hospital and contract agencies staff.
8. Maintains appropriate communication with medical staff.
9. Maintains continuing education requirements.
10. Participates in department quality improvement activities.
11. Complies with department Infection Control standards.
12. Promotes an environment of teamwork, customer service and positive communications.

| Qualifications: | EDUCATION
� Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy program.
� Maintains a Wisconsin license.
� Maintains membership in a professional organization
� Maintains a CPR certificate
EXPERIENCE
� 2+ years preferred, but not required
SKILLS
� Exhibits effective interpersonal skills to develop and maintain rapport with medical staff and other hospital departments
� Exhibits teaching skills for inservice and clinical education
EQUIPMENT USED
� Ultrasound, electrotherapy, iontophoresis, whirlpools, hot packs, cold packs, exercise equipment, therapeutic activities, splinting materials, paraffin.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent: Walking, Sitting/Balancing, Lifting/Carrying from floor to waist of 0# to 25#, Squatting/Stooping/Crouching, Repetitive Movement, and Manual Dexerity
Occasional: Pivoting, Patient Transfers of 0# to 100#, Crawling/Kneeling, Lifting of 20# to 50#, Climbing, Pushing/Pulling from 0# to over 50#, and Reaching from Above Shoulder Height.
