Description:Responsible for assisting service of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient meals, cafeteria clientele and catered functions. Operates dishmachine and performs manual dishwashing and general cleaning.

Position is scheduled for 10 hours every other weekend. Receive extra pay for weekend work and double pay for holiday shifts.
Duties:MAJOR
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Able to perform all activities in Competencies 1 and 2. (Competencies will be explained at the interview.)
2. Assists in serving of meals for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, cafeteria clientele and catered functions. (Competency 3)
3. Performs pre-prep and prep work for AM Cook. (Competency 4)
4. Participates and adheres to department quality improvement, safety and infection control policies and procedures.
5. Promotes an environment of teamwork, customer service and positive communications.
Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
� High school diploma or GED preferred

Experience
� Food service operations experience preferred but not required

Skills
� Able to communicate through oral and written skills
� Able to read and follow directions well
� Demonstrates good customer service
� Able to work cooperatively with others
� Able to lift up to 20#
� Able to walk, bend and stand for extended periods of time

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Continuous (67-100% or 6-8 hours/8 hr day): walking/standing; repetitive movement.

Frequent (34-66% or 2.5-5.5 hours/8 hr day): reaching waist to shoulder height; pushing/pulling 11# to 25#; lifting/carrying 0# to 25#; Kneeling/1/2 Kneeling/Stooping/Crouching; pivoting; good manual dexterity.

Occasional (1-33% or 1-2 hours/8 hr day): sitting/balancing; reaching above shoulder height; reaching waist to flor height; climbing; pushing/pulling 0# to 10#; pushing/pulling 26# to 400#.

Must be able to work around hazardous substances, harmful physical agents and mechanical hazards.
Poor vision and impaired color vision acceptable.
